Elvis IS Everywhere!

Yup, Elvis is everywhere... including, it seems, in Rome around the 2nd Century A.D.

Is this, or is this not, The King?

Oh Yeah...

Uncle Brent and Auntie Shannon came to visit last weekend, and guess what Milo wants for his next birthday?

Milo's Third Birthday

It's been almost a month since Milo turned three and I'm finally ready to show what the event looked like... or at least what the boy got in the way of presents.

First of all, something to help Daddy haul the lawn clippings.

The first time we went to dump our wheelbarrows, Milo wheeled his load of pine cones and dumped it, then we put him and his new wheelbarrow in my big one and I wheeled them both home.

All right, what idiot thought it would be a good idea to buy a three-year-old a real bugle? Oh wait, that was me...

Milo also got a cool bike helmet, decorated with skull stickers and all sorts of unique bike stickers designed and illustrated by Mr. Scott Dickson, of SDE (Scott Dickson Enterprises) fame.

The best present, however, was from Grammy and Grampy: a real Lightning McQueen and Mack truck mega blocks set. Just look at the joy on his face, and he still plays with it almost every day.

And I just happened to catch him blowing out the candles. Happy Birthday Milo!

Introducing Morris

So what have I been doing with my summer? Well I'll tell you...

I've produced another child (with some help from my lovely and talented wife/milk provider), I've started working at Kidzsmart here on the sunny Sunshine Coast, and I've been playing baseball with Milo.

Here's proof of at least one of the above:

This is Morris. Today is the one-month anniversary of his birth. Yup, he's one month (31 days) old today!

And yeah, he's got a great big brother. Milo thinks it's hilarious that if he sticks his nose an inch or two from Morris' mouth, the baby tries to suck on it. It's like a game now... Milo does it, Morris takes the bait, and Milo gets to yell "Silly Morris, that's my nose, not a boobie!"

Milo is not being neglected at all. We went to a horse show and Milo got to wear his cowboy hat. Of course, he liked the horses.

Finally, it's true. Morris is not always grunting and squawking and mewling and puking... sometimes he looks absolutely angelic. Here he is with his Grammy, and they both look pretty darn happy.

Summer 2008 update: it's half over!

Despite my best intentions, I have no new photos to post today. While adding some music to my iTunes folder here at work, I inadvertently restored the iPod settings, which deleted the new photos I was going to post here.

Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.

Meanwhile, check out my new job!

Kidzsmart Concepts, here on the sunny Sunshine Coast, makes fun, educational custom branded colouring books, activity books, kids placemats, growth charts, and more (it's a bright and cheery place) for huge clients like the Ottawa Senators, BC Lions, 2010 Olympics, Boston Pizza, Telus, East Side Mario's, T.G.I.Friday's, and more that I'm just learning about, like this one for NCAA Basketball:

Check out the site at Kidzsmart.com, or the sister site at Kidsplacemats.com.

Oh, in case you're looking for baby news, Morris is 29 days old and doesn't want me to get enough sleep. Yes, pics tomorrow. :D
